Lift360 Staff Transitions for the 25th Program Year

posted on March 3rd, 2017

Lift360 announced today that Jan Kearce will be leaving her post as Executive Director in April. She is taking a position at the Maine Development Foundation, as Vice President of Program Impact.

Board Chair Richard J. Abbondanza says the Lift360 board has formed a five-member transition team that will appoint an interim Executive Director and then conduct a search for a permanent Executive Director.

There will be no interruption in programs or services during the transition period, including the current recruitment for the 25 year class of the Leadership Intensive.   Laura Moorehead, Leadership Intensive’s long-time facilitator, will be returning to facilitate this class.

Lift360 is a statewide organization that inspires leadership, builds stronger leaders, and equips those leaders to tackle the critical issues Maine faces. It is best known for its oldest program, the Leadership Intensive, an experience based skill development curriculum for managers and professionals of public, private, and nonprofit organizations. Nearly 900 Maine leaders have gone through the program.  Lift360 also offers Emerging Leaders, the Community Institute, Springboard, organization development consulting services, assistance for nonprofits, training for prospective nonprofit board members, and regular presentations on leadership and community issues. As Lift360 embarks on an expanded 25th year of programming, it has begun recruiting for both the Leadership Intensive and Emerging Leaders, which will both begin in September 2017.

“We are very grateful to Jan for her leadership over the past 6 years, first with the Institute for Civic Leadership and then Lift360,” Abbondanza said. “She has laid a solid base for our next leader to build upon. We wish her well with her new endeavors at the Maine Development Foundation.”

“At Lift360,” Abbondanza said, “we believe that bringing together the right people and giving them the right resources can allow them to effect positive change in their workplace and in their communities. Our next Executive Director will play an instrumental role in Lift360’s collaborative growth and deepened impact as we continue developing strong leaders and organizations in Maine.”
